Bronze hunter (sold)

26 cm high reproduction of a Dogon bronze from Mali, representing a hunter.

He has an axe on his right shoulder, and on the left one, the hunted animal. At his back, the bow and the arrows. Attached to his left arm, a cane-knife. In his right arm, a bag with the antidote against the snakes poison, and the sacred weapons against bad spirits. Hanged from his left shoulder, the feed-bag, and from his right shoulder, the pumpkin for the water. He is dressed in loin-cloth.
